Leading ice sports store gets rebranding treatment

The client:
The National Ice Centre is the Centre of Excellence for Ice Sports in the UK, and home to the GB and Olympic Speed Skating Squad. Located within the National Ice Centre, Ice Locker is the UK’s biggest ice sports retail store.

Create visual branding and name to reposition the Ice Locker store as the premier destination for ice sports equipment and merchandise in the UK. Branding needed to be in keeping with the NIC’s status as a Centre of Excellence.

What we delivered:
When the National Ice Centre needed to rebrand their ice sports store as the biggest and best in the UK, they turned to us for help. We devised the Ice Locker brand name, to position the store as a UK-wide shopping destination for ice sports enthusiasts.

Following on from this, we designed a logo which was fresh, contemporary and colourful, but bold and clean enough to be used across print, web, and most importantly, external store fascias and internal signage/POS.

As part of the rebranding process we also created a new visual identity for the Ice Locker store, focusing on brand colour-ways, font and graphic devices – all contained within a brand guidelines document to ensure consistency across all future creative work.

To complete the rebranding project, we designed external fascias for the store, carrying the Ice Locker name and new visual branding.
